Medical College Development Project
An educational trust in Uttarakhand initiated a massive infrastructure project to build a new medical college along with a fully functional teaching hospital. The project required precise spatial and operational planning to accommodate heavy student intake alongside high patient footfall.
The initial architectural blueprints failed to align with the uncompromising guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC). There was a critical risk of space misallocation in specialized teaching labs, poor integration between the academic and clinical blocks, and inadequate planning for student-patient movement flow.
We acted as the crucial bridge between the trust, the architects, and regulatory expectations. We conducted comprehensive NMC regulatory audits on the floor plans, redefined clinical adjacencies, planned specialized anatomy and pathology labs to exact square-footage, and designed distinct circulation pathways.
